Housing Assistance

Based on the official 'Point-In-Time Homeless Count' conducted in 2022, 2,054 people were experiencing homelessness across Broward County. Although updated data is still awaited, the national figures suggest a worrisome 12% increase in homelessness in 2023. The Salvation Army is committed to providing vital programs and services to those in need.

We offer various programs that include:

Open Door Shelter (ODS)

Extends a helping hand by offering a clean bed, access to showers, and nutritious meals for an entire week.

Plymouth Colony

It provides furnished apartments and supportive services for families in transition for 1-2 years.

Day Respite Program

Provides a haven during daytime hours, ensuring individuals can access shelter, showers, and meals.

Rapid Rehousing

Helps obtain permanent housing within Broward County and assist with initial housing costs.

Emergency Shelters

For those needing short-term Emergency Shelter, we offer clean beds, access to showers, essential toiletry items, nutritious meals, and supportive services.
